Ponds are stocked full for kids. Kid friendly park. Nice clean bathrooms.
Nice, small state park campground. Mainly for RVs (summer only) with lots of parking spots and hookups. There's also a handful of walk-in (maybe 0.2 miles, they're really close to the parking lot) tent pad sites and they have 2-wheeled hand wheelbarrow-style carts in the parking lot to use if you have an excessive amount of gear. Small parking area just below the dam offering fly fishing and vault toilets year-round. There's 2 large pavilions and a playground near the river and another pavillion with picnic tables near the RV sites that would all be excellent for large picnics or events. Well managed campground and we said hi to the CO parks ranger on Sunday morning checking permits on all of about 3 cars that were also in the parking lot.
Tenting spaces are really unique. Gotta walk there, so you can't just drive up your car there. Showers and washroom are in the services building that's not too far away. Really pretty place.
Great facilities. Great family fun. Amazing views and amazing trails for the whole family. The fishing is on point as well!
