This historic place is just amazing. I was here 20 years ago in the museum and it was great. But now it is beyond great. It is awesome. A great place to learn about western Colorado natives, and native people in general. Also a great gift store with books, jewelry, and modern artifacts. Also flutes...etc. There are events scheduled year round. I would highly recommend a visit when you are in town. The new renovations and the design are beyond expectation.
My wife and I were so impressed and moved by the museum. The new building is amazing, a beautiful structure. The exhibits were moving and very informative. Great place to be; I'd suggest about 90 minutes to experience it.
What a humbling gem in this part of the Western Slope. Please visit and appreciate their culture and contribution to civilization. New space and it will continue to evolve.
Really small, we expected there to be more to observe and learn. It is awesome just expected more about the area.
Lovely small museum with well done personal stories. The videos are a great way to hear about Ute history and life from those who lived it. The gift shop has some nice pieces for anyone interested in Native American history.
